How do you feel you have grown in skill throughout this trimester?
Going into this class, I had no prior knowledge of anything photography related. So with that being said, my skill set in photography related stuff has grown exponentially. I now know how to take quality pictures, and I know what to look for when taking pictures in the future.
Think about what it was like taking pictures at the beginning and compare that to how you shoot now. Has anything changed? If so, what? If not, why not?
Taking pictures at the beginning of this course compared to now I honestly don't see much of a change. Maybe that's because when I look at a picture I don't look at the techniques used, I just look at the contents of the picture. So maybe there is a change but I cant see it, you would have to be the judge on that one.
*Do you notice yourself leaning towards a certain point of view? A certain editing style? A certain subject matter? Explain, and explain how your photos demonstrate this.
I enjoy taking pictures of flowers or nature opposed to people or buildings or things of that nature. I don't know if that is a thing or not but that's what I see myself taking more pictures of. Ants eye view is a cool point of view because you don't normally see things at that angle, so I guess that's my favorite. There are a couple ant eye view above.
*Explain why you chose these particular photos. Why do you feel they are your best work? What is it about these images that make them worthy of the title "THE BEST OF THE BEST"? Perhaps it would help to talk about some individually as well as the whole group. Compare and contrast your best from your good.
I chose the 25 photos above as "best of the best" because the just stood out to me and I liked them. I didn't take a lot of good or great photos so it was easy singling these photos out. These pictures are an example of my best work because they follow the techniques required by this class and some are sharp in color. The pictures of the flowers above are good examples of the color popping out.
*Is there any project that stands out for you, as either your favorite or your least favorite? Why? Are there any images in your album from these lessons?
My favorite project was probably the first one, simply because I was just taking pictures and I wasn't worried about meeting certain requirements. The movie one where we took all of those pictures was fun as well. My least favorite project was probably the light painting one. It wasn't because it wasn't col, it was because it was hard to do n your own and my pictures for that project turned out terrible. There are a couple photos from my first project in the album; the sunrise one and the mini cactus. There are none from the light painting because none of them turned out.
*If you had the trimester to do all over again, what would you do differently? (Consider this advice to the next class)
If I had to take the course again. I would have put more time into understanding the definitions and the different techniques of photography. Understanding those would have led to better pictures and made it more enjoyable.
